The Boyce Bulldogs came to The Den on Tuesday evening to face off against the Brescia Bearcats. Coming off of tough loss over the weekend in their season opener, Brescia recorded a resounding win with a score of 104-50.
Boyce took the lead on the first possession of the game as the result of a made basket and a foul. After the Bulldogs completed the traditional three point play, the Bearcats responded by claiming the lead for themselves on the next two possessions and never looked back. With 12 steals in the first half, Brescia smothered the Bulldogs with their defense and held a lead of 54-20 heading into halftime. The second half continued with more of the same, including 7 more steals and 6 blocks as Brescia held their opponents to only 50 total points. In addition, the Bearcats finished with 27 assists and just 8 turnovers.
Trey Howard led the way for the Bearcats with 17 points, shooting 3-4 from 3pt range. Three more Brescia players ended the night in double figures as well (Austin Morris - 12, Dillon Geralds - 12, Jermain Langley - 10). Additionally, each of the 14 Brescia players on the roster made their way on to the score sheet for the game.
