The Brescia Bearcats made the short trip to Louisville, KY on Friday evening for a rematch of their November 3rd game against the Bulldogs of Boyce College. The game got off to a very similar start, with the Bearcats jumping all over the Bulldogs early and often as they raced out to a 52-26 lead at the halftime break. In the first half, Brescia shot 71% from the floor and 58% from three-point range while holding the homestanding Boyce team to only 29% from the field and 15% from deep.
The second half was more of the same intially, with Brescia extending their lead to as much as 34 points before settling for the final margin of 76-52. On the night, ten different Bearcats found their way into the scoring column, with Trey Howard (15), Kyle Nixon (11), Mason Roland (11), and Ed Carter (10) all reaching double-digits. For the game, Brescia shot 28-49 (57%) and 8-16 (50%) from behind the arc while holding Boyce to 16-54 (29.6%) and 3-26 (11.5%) from deep.
The Bearcats return to KIAC play when they travel to IU-Kokomo on Sunday for a 3:00pm (eastern) tip-off.
