It was the same story, different day for the Brescia Men's Basketball team on Thursday evening at KIAC rival Cincinnati Christian. The Bearcats came out and battled a tough opponent on the road until the final horn, but came up just short of victory. After shooting a season-worst 29% in their last game against Asbury and only putting up 51 points, Brescia found their stroke on Thursday, scoring 82 points and shooting 50% from the field. However, after a stingy defensive effort that limited Asbury to 66 points, the Bearcats allowed Cincinnati Christian to put up 87 points on their home court for the 5-point margin of victory.
Brescia was led by Trey Howard and Kyle Nixon, with 24 and 21 points, respectively. Austin Morris posted a double-double, ripping down 15 rebounds to go with his 14 points. Cincinnati Christian was led by Blake Walsman, who scored 25 points for the Eagles.
Brescia quickly returns to action on Saturday, January 15th, as they make their way to New Albany, Indiana to face the Grenadiers of Indiana University Southeast at 2:00p (3:00p eastern).
