The Bearcats fall to 2-3 on the season with a 79-77 loss at home to Wilberforce (6-2). The Bearcats lead 43-38 at halftime but struggled from the field in the second half shooting 35%. The Bearcats were lead by Junior Guard Tavon Johnson with 21 points followed by Dillon Geralds with 12 and Nate Melchior and Kayode Daboiku with 11 points each. The bench provided 48 points 16 rebounds for the Bearcats and got Brescia back into the game midway in the second half after trailing by 11 points. "We need to do a better job on defense, when we lock down like we can we got right back into the game I thought Norman Ellis gave us some energy off of the bench that helped us get back into the game. We need to get some consistent production from some of our key players but offensively but more importantly defensively." stated Head Coach Brian Skortz.
