The 6th ranked team in the country in NAIA Division II got more explosive with the three semester break additions of Austin Cummins, Jaylen Daniels, and Mike Marin... the three combined for 45 points and 17 rebounds in defeating Brescia University 99-70. The Bearcats committed 29 turnovers that lead to 31 points despite shooting 45.5% from the field and 53% from the 3 point arc. The Bearcats were lead in scoring by Dillon Geralds with 27 points and 10 rebounds followed by Senior Trey Howard adding 20 points. "Coming off of the Murray State Exhibition game where we played well I felt we had some confidence going into Union College, but when you turn the ball over 29 times with 20 steals you do not give yourself an opportutity to compete. As a young team it is important to us to protect the basketball and get good shot opportuties on the offensive end. Defensively we needs to continue to work at rebounding and boxing out our man needing all five players to make contact and not giving second chance opportuties. We have one of the nation's toughtest non-conference schedules and through these games at times we have competed well and other times it has helped us learn on what we need to do to be a good team. These games will prepare us for our conference schedule." stated Head Coach Brian Skortz. The Bearcats will resume play at 11 wins and 5 losses Lindsey Wilson on Jan 3rd at 6pm.
