Brescia's Men's Basketball hosted inner divisional rival C.C.U. on Friday night looking to put one in the win column. The Bearcats would jump out to an early 17-8 lead and never look back. The Bearcats would shoot a blistering 56% from the field and 100% from the free throw line to take a ten-point lead in at the half. (41-31) The Bearcats had three players with nine points in the first half.
In the second half, the Bearcats would stretch their lead to 17 early in the half, but the Eagles of C.C.U. would claw their way back to within 7 with only 6 minutes left in the game. Brescia would extend its lead back out to 11 and never let the Eagles get any closer. Brescia would secure their first RSC win 80-69.
The Bearcats were lead in scoring by Trey Howard with 21, Dillon Geralds and Tavon Johnson would each secure 7 rebounds and Tavon would lead the team with 4 assists. The Bearcats would shoot 51% from the floor and 81% from the free throw line. They also out rebounded C.C.U. 31-25.
