Brescia University Women's Basketball hosted the Celtics from Carlow University. The Lady Bearcats come into the game looking to improve on their 1-7 record in RSC play. The lady Bearcats are coming off a loss last night to the Pioneers of Point Park and were looking to get into the win column. The Bearcats would take the first quarter lead 12-10, but the Celtics would respond outscoring the Bearcats in the second quarter 11-8 and taking the half time lead. (21-20)
Brescia would come out of the locker room with the intensity needed to take control of the game. They would outscore Carlow 13-7 and go into the fourth quarter with a 5 point lead. With the defensive effort necessary to close out the game the Lady Bearcats held Carlow to only 9 fourth court points while they were able to rack up 16. The Bearcats would secure their second RSC win taking down the Celtics 49-37.
The Bearcats were lead in scoring by Kelsey Kirkpatrick with 15, also in double figures was Senior Shelby Samsil with 12.
The Lady Bearcats are back in action this Tuesday when they travel to Richmond, IN. to face RSC east division leader I.U. East. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. EST
