Brescia University Women's Basketball traveled to Richmond IN. to face off with the Red Wolves of I.U. East. The Lady Bearcats come into the match up after winning their second RSC game of the season. The momentum of that win was not enough to energize the Bearcats after a long mind-week trip. The Lady Bearcats would fall behind by the end of the first quarter 31-6. The Bearcats would only shot 15% in the first quarter and record their lowest for quarter point total of the season.
After a sluggish start, the Bearcats were able to hold their own against the 21st seeded team in the nation. Brescia would not cut into the lead but the lead did not widen either. The Red Wolves would take a 24-point lead in at the half.
I.U. East was able to stretch their lead to as many as 34 in the third. However, Brescia would fight back and pull within 28 by the end of the third. I.U. East would coast to a final score of 92-67 to give the Lady Bearcats their ninth RSC loss.
The Lady Bearcats will look to get back on track this Thursday when they host Ohio Christian University. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. CST
