The Brescia University Men's Tennis team fell to IU Southeast 5-1 in the semi-finals of the KIAC Conference Championships held in Richmond, IN.
Julien Chenneberg and Moises Goncalves came back from a 5-2 defecit to take the #1 doubles match 8-6 while Jacob Blevins and Spencer Hall could not overcome an early break to fall 8-6 at #3 doubles, which gave IU Southeast a 2-1 lead after the doubles.
Blevins retired at #3 singles tied 2-2 in the first set with a back injury to make the deficit 3-1. IU Southeast quickly closed out the match with wins at #5 and #6 singles. Brescia led in two of the remaining singles matches with Chenneberg having won the first set at #1 singles.
The Bearcats had reached the semi-finals with a win earlier over Berea 9-0. The match was highlighted by a 8-6 come from behind victory at #2 doubles by Logan Stull and Isaac Duncan.
Brescia University finishes the year at 4-7. Julien Chenneberg was named to the all-conference team for the third time along with teammate Moise Goncalves
