Brescia women's soccer recently announced the signing of Tori Montgomery of Newark, Ohio. Tori has been a standout goalkeeper for Licking Valley High School and was selected as team captain for both her junior and senior years. She earned the Most Valuable Player Award for two years, received a Sportsmanship Award from the OHSAA, and was an all state nomination her senior year.
Tori was active in theater productions and Cultural Connections. She also served as a mentor to young soccer players and as a coach. Women's coach Dave Donahue stated, "Tori is the kind of student/athlete we're looking for. She's a great student, well rounded and involved in a number of her high school's activities, and a terrific soccer player. She'll be a great addition to our squad and our school community. We feel really lucky to have recruited such an athlete from that hotbed of soccer."
Tori is a strong academic student, was selected as a member of Renaissance at Licking Valley for having a GPA of over 3.5, and is a finalist for the Joseph D Moore Presidential Scholars Program. Tori is the daughter of Christina and Rodney Montgomery of Newark.
