Matt Lowe, a junior, competed in his third consecutive NAIA National Outdoor Track Championship meet on May 25-26. He has been a National Qualifier in the 10,000 meter run the past 2 years. However, this year he ran the 5,000meter run. This is also the same event he qualified for in indoor track this past winter.

Matt opened the weekend by running the 5,000meter preliminary round by running 15:24.63 to advance to the finals. A mere 22 hours later he raced again in the finals and placed 9^th with time of 15:18.88.  This is the highest National Championship placing for Matt or any other Brescia University track athlete in the history of the program.
