Women's Soccer - Mon, Sep. 17, 2012

The women's soccer team dropped to 2-2-0 with a 6-1 loss Friday afternoon in the Midway Invitational.  Outshot 8-2 in the first half the women fell behind 5-0 at halftime.

After some personnel changes, the Bearcats fought back in the second half giving up another before Sarah Elrhanjaoui (McClain High) scored in the 80th minute.  Coach Dave Donahue was please with the team's second half performance," Haylie (Doom, Caldwell County) and Tori (Montgomery, Licking Valley) did a great job.  We gave up 6, but they saved us from giving up more.  I made some mistakes in the first half, and they cost us but.  On the positive side we kept up pushing and working in the second half all the way to the final whistle.  Another bright spot of the afternoon was that Coach Pat (Mrozowski, retired Brescia AD) came to the game.  It was great to see him.  He said he's really enjoying his retirement and said for me to say 'Hello' to everyone at Brescia."

"The Bearcats may be playing tomorrow without the services of Ashlea Holt (Caldwell County, severe ankle sprain) and Dana Wilson (Lone Oak, bruised foot).  The Bearcats face MidSouth Conference power University of the Cumberlands at 10:00 AM in the second round of the tournament.
