The Brescia University women's tennis team lost their season opener to Cedarville University 9-0 Friday at the Moreland Park tennis complex.

Cedarville(3-0) is a very strong team and I thought we competed very well for our first match of the year," said Coach Jack Etchison, "Kelsey Hurrigan and LeAnne Myers almost pulled out the match at # 2 doubles losing 9-7. And sophomore Alejandra Matiz had two match points at #2 singles before dropping the 3^rd set tie-breaker."

Brescia next takes on Indiana University Southeast in the KIAC conference opener.
