Alejandra Matiz, Brescia University – Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Brescia University sophomore Alejandra Matiz was named the KIAC women's tennis player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, September 24^th. Brescia finished the week 2-1 after defeating Indiana University East 6-3 and Alice Lloyd College 9-0. Matiz won all five matches last week. She won her #2 singles match 6-2, 6-3 and #1 doubles match 8-6 against IU East. Against Alice Lloyd College, she won her #1 doubles match 8-0. She ended the week by winning her #2 singles match 6-2, 6-3 and #1 doubles match 9-7 against Franklin College. The Bearcats are 2-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play. They will return to action on September 27^th – 29^th when they play in the USTA/ITA Fall Regional in Georgetown, KY.
