The Lady Bearcats tennis team defeated conference foes Indiana University East and Alice Lloyd College on Saturday at Moreland Park.

Kelsey Hurrigan and Alejandra Matiz came back from 5-0 down to win 8-6 at #1 doubles to give Brescia a 2-1 lead after the doubles play.

Hurrigan clinched the match and remained undefeated in conference play at #1 singles with a 6-2,6-2 victory. Also winning in singles were Matiz at #2 singles and Freshman Tarsila Duck at #4 singles to give the Bearcats the 6-3 win.

The Bearcats then evened their season record at 2-2 with a 9-0 win over Alice Lloyd. LeAnne Myers 6-2,6-2 victory at #1 singles clinched the match. Freshman Emily Adkins and Ginny Beaven also added their first collegiate on the day.

Brescia University (2-2,2-1) faces Franklin College before heading to the fall ITA Regionals.
