After giving up two goals in the first fifteen minutes, the Brescia women struggled to hold off the Marian Lady (5-1-1) Knights for the rest of the first 45.  Brescia's Tori Montgomery (Newark , OH) needed to knock down or grab the ball 8 more times in the first half just to keep the halftime at 4-0.

The onslaught continued in the second half as the Lady Knights completely controlled play, held the Bearcats (2-4-0) to only two shots in the second half while getting 17 shots and scoring one their final at 58 minutes.

"What a class act," said Coach Dave Donahue. "From the time we arrived until the time the bus left, Marian was so gracious – except on the score sheet.  The facilities matched the courtesy of the Marian staff – terrific.   We look forward to continuing our relationship with Marian.  As much as I hate losing, our women learned a lot tonight.  I think Marian will go far this season, and I wish them luck."
