After suffering a pair of losses to the University of the Cumberlands and Oakland City University, the BU Bearcats volleyball team returned to action Tuesday night with a victory over Cumberland University.  "This was a great defensive effort by us tonight," said head coach Jerry Forbes. The Bearcats were led in digs by Brianna Rhodes (13), Haley Root (11), Sydney Seyffarth (10), Sarah Tanner (10) and Paige Mingus (9).  Offensively the Bearcats were lead by Kaylin Carpenter (10) and Paige Mingus (6). The volleyball team recorded a hitting percentage of .052. "We have a lot of work to do offensively. You're not going to beat teams in our conference with a team hitting percentage like that," commented Forbes,

The Lady Bearcats will be back in action at home this Sunday at 2:00 p.m., at the Campus Center to face new conference opponent Carlow.
