Head Coach Summer Quesenberry officially releases the Brescia Women's Basketball Schedule for the 2012-2013 Season. An exciting feature of this season includes the return of all home games to the Campus Center. A move that is sure to bring back the "6th man" environment by increasing student and alumni support at all home contests.
The Bearcats will open up on the road with back to back competitions against Tennessee Temple University and Oakland College on November 2nd and 3rd. The following weekend The Bearcats will host their first of thirteen home contests against conference opponent Midway College. After playing the Eagles, Brescia will face three non-league opponents: UC-Clermont (OH), Miami University Middletown (OH), and NAIA Division I preseason nationally ranked (22) opponent Bethel University (TN), to conclude the month of November.
KIAC play will return with new members Point Park University (PA) on December 1st, and Carlow University (PA) on December 2nd at the Campus Center. Brescia continues league play with a road trip to Alice Lloyd College on December 8th before ending the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule with games against UC-Clermont and NAIA Division I preseason nationally ranked opponent (9) Lee University. After returning from the holiday break, the team will travel to Pittsburg on December 29th and 30th to play Carlow and Point Park before returning to campus to face Tennessee Temple University for a second time on January 3rd. Brescia will once more step out of league play facing Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, OH on January 5th, and then spring back into KIAC play with a home game versus Indiana University Southeast. The Bearcats will then take a break from conference and embark upon three consecutive non-league games versus Miami University Hamilton (OH), Oakland City University (IN), and St. Mary's of the Woods (IN). Brescia faces three KIAC opponents in six days as they prepare for Midway College and Asbury University on the road and Alice Loyd College at home.
The month of February will prove to be a eventful one as Brescia competes in both league and non-league action. On the 2nd The Bearcats face Berea College at home, then travel to non-league opponent St. Mary of the Woods to compete in the gym made famous by the movie Hoosiers. On the 9th Brescia jumps back into league action against tough conference opponent Asbury University before quickly stepping back out of the league to play Wilberforce on the 11th. Road conference games against Berea College and IU-Southeast will be packed in around the final regular-season home game of the year on February 16th, against non-league challenger Oakland City. KIAC Tournament play begins February 23rd, and the KIAC Championship game will be played on February 26th.
