Head Women's Basketball Coach, Summer Quesenberry, announces 2012-2013 Brescia Bearcat Roster.  This year's team has seven newcomers including six freshmen and one sophomore transfer.

The freshmen class has multiple talented players that will directly impact this year's team.  At the point guard, Jillian Jones has quickness, ability to score or pass, and great court awareness. Although she has limited collegiate experience there is no doubt she will rise to the occasion. Shooting guards, Julianna Whitfill and Kaylyn Cecil are any defense's worse nightmare with both having the ability to score off the dribble and from three-point range.  Small forward Mary Decker is physical and tough with willingness and drive to do whatever it takes for the team to succeed, such mindset is an invaluable quality and she often sets the tone for her teammates.  Forward Kim Hyde has great speed and length as well as great athletic ability which will make for a tough match-up among defenses.  Rounding out the freshmen class, center Sarah Martin is powerful with a deceptively quick first step that promises to break down defenses. She has great court vision and crashes the boards with reckless abandonment.

Sophomore Kelsey Burr, transfer from Mountain State University, will be looking to share minutes at the point guard position.  She possesses great speed, court sense, and leadership qualities that make her a great asset for the program.

Junior forward Olivia Moore looks to elevate her game this season after last year's play earned her First Team All KIAC Conference and All American Honorable Mention awards.  Her court presence, tireless work ethic and will to succeed make her a fun player for any spectator to watch, well, unless you're a fan for the other team.  Junior, Evelyn Turner, brings experience and floor leadership to the guard position. She displays toughness every play on both sides of the ball. Evelyn does it all, she sets the standard for "hustle" in the Bearcat Program.

Seniors Holly Simons and Sarah King bring passion, pride and purpose to the team.  Holly has strong back to the basket moves and nice scoring range while her teammate, Sarah King, can play both inside and outside. Sarah will be relied on heavily in the guard position as the Bearcats strive to make up for the loss of medical redshirt, Demi Wendt.
