Men's Basketball - Thu, Nov. 1, 2012

The Brescia Men's Basketball team kicked off the 2012-13 season on Saturday with a hard-fought 52-59 loss to IU-South Bend.  The Bearcats came out of the gate strong with a 10-0 lead, but the Titans answered with a run of their own to tie the score at 10 apiece.  The first half ended with Brescia trailing by two, 25-27.  The second half was a battle until the end, with the lead changing several times and neither team being able to take command of the game until IUSB got crucial three-pointers down the stretch from Alanzo Bass and Steven Heatherly that put the game out of reach for the Bearcats.  Bass led the Titans with 17 points and was joined in double figures by Jon Trawick (10) and Riley Stichter (11).  The Bearcats were paced by Myron Christian with 23 points and 7 rebounds and Hunter Rowe with 15 points and 8 boards.  The Bearcats have a quick turnaround with a road game at Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky on Monday night at 7:00pm (Eastern).
