Brescia men's basketball took on mighty Indiana University Southeast on Monday night in KIAC action.
The Grenadiers took a commanding lead early building the lead to as many as 21 points with 2:49 left to play in the first half. The Bearcats battled back, however, cutting the lead to only six points at halftime on the back of freshman Kyle Nixon's three point shooting clinic! Coming out of halftime, Brescia cut the lead to three but IU Southeast proved to be too much and extended the lead and never looked back handing the Bearcats a 95-80 loss.
The Bearcats (5-14) were led by Nixon's 15 points on the evening. Jermain Langley and Austin Morris each had 14 points, Myron Christian chipped in 12 points, while Troy Halcomb netted 10. The Grenadiers (16-3) were led by Cameron Mitchell's 29 points on the night.
Brescia plays host to Cincinnati Christian University on Saturday January 19th at 8:00pm at the Campus Life Center.
