The Brescia men's basketball team travelled to St. Louis, MO to take on the Maryville University Saints on Monday night.
Brescia took command of the game from the beginning leading for much of the first half, however Maryville took their first lead of the night at 13-12 with 6:40 left in the half. The Bearcats were able to hang tough for the remainder of the half trailing the Saints 27-22.
Brescia came out of the locker room fired up and took another lead early in the second half 30-29 with 17:09 left. The Saints then turned on the jets and ran away from the Bearcats leading 53-39 at one point late in the game. Brescia closed out strong but it was not enough on the night as they fall 55-47. Jermain Langley led the Bearcats with 15 points 6 rebounds.
Brescai next plays Tuesday night at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy at 8:00pm.
