The Brescia baseball team split a doubleheader with Victory University for the second straight day on Sunday. Victory took game 1, 6-5 with the Bearcats bouncing back for a 10-2 win in game 2.
In game 1, the Bearcats jumped out to a first inning lead on a sac fly by Christian McHatton and added another run on a RBI single by Tim Adams. Victory was able to get one back in the second, but the Bearcats pushed the lead back to two on a solo homerun by Alex Hegge and added two more runs in the fourth on an error and a RBI double by Jordan Rhodes to push the lead to four. In the bottom half of the fifth, Victory was able to start clawing back with an RBI groundout and a two run double by Holden Watts. In the bottom of the seventh, after a RBI single by Kent Voorhies tied the score at 5, Victory was able to load the bases on an error and a walk to set up Aaron Pearson's game winning hit by pitch gave Victory the walk-off 6-5 win.

Game 2 was all Bearcats, as they jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a RBI single by Jordan Rhodes. The Bearcats were able to add two more runs in the second, two in the third, one in the fourth, three in the sixth and one in the seventh. Starting Pitcher Christian McHatton cruised on the mound allowing seven hits and one earned run in the complete game win. McHatton also was 4-4 at the plate with a double, triple, walk and three RBI's in the 10-2 win.
