The Bearcats added three more in the third on a bases loaded walk by Nate Crocker and RBI Fielder's Choices by Jordan Rhodes and Alex hegge. Mid-Continent was able to get their first run in the third on an RBI groundout by Dondre McCarter and capitalized on a couple of defensive miscues in the fourth in order to score four runs and climb to within three. The Bearcats answered right back in the fifth, as Hank Stewart delivered a three run triple to push the lead back to six. The Bearcats elected to go to the bullpen in the bottom half of the fifth and it was all downhill from there. Mid-Continent capitalized on five walks and four base hits to plate eight runs in the bottom of the fifth and take a 13-11 lead. The Bearcats were able to threaten in the top of the seventh, but Releif Pitcher Todd Adams got back to back strikeouts with the bases loaded to kill the theat and the Bearcats win streak.
