The Bearcats dropped their first two conference games of the season on Friday at Alice Lloyd.
In game 1, Jackson Miles and Neil Dillon locked up in good old fashioned pitcher's duel. Alice Lloyd got on the board first in the bottom of the third. Ben Ray started things off with a one out double and scored two batters later when Josh Mills hit a double of his own. The Bearcats answered in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Christian McHatton that scored Jordan Rhodes who had reached on a hit by pitch. The score stayed 1-1 until the bottom of the sixth. Brandon Arnold hit a lead-off double to get things started and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Shane Pack. After an intentional walk to Cody Hyden, Greg Wright hit a sacrifice fly to left to plate Arnold with what would prove to be the winning run.
