The Bearcats fell on Tuesday night at the University of Southern Indiana 9-2. The Screaming Eagles scored all the runs they would need in the four-run second inning. USI junior Bryce Shoulders started the scoring with his first home run of the season. USI followed the blast with three more tallies on a RBI-double by Brad Wannemuehler and a two-run single by Reece Rounder to make the score 4-0.
Brescia scored their first run in the top of the third, on an RBI groundout by Jordan Rhodes scored Matt Cissell, the Eagles pushed the lead back to four runs when Ryan Bertram crossed the plate on Wannemuehler's second RBI double of the game. The Bearcats closed the gap to three runs for a second time with a run in the sixth on an RBI single by Nate Crocker, but the Eagles put the game away with their second four-run rally of the game in the seventh. USI scored three of the four runs on RBI-singles by A.J. Dokey and Shoulders and a RBI-double by Bertram.
