The Bearcats played Holy Cross College in the first of game of Saturday's three way dance. Holy Cross got on the board first with on an RBI single by Chris Woodruff, but the Bearcats answered right back when Catcher Hank Stewart (SR, Cartersville, GA) delivered a three run homerun in the bottom of the first to make the score 3-1. Woodruff would come up in the top of the third with another RBI single, but the Bearcats answered again with two more runs in the bottom of the third when Right Fielder Nick Woltermann (SO, Fort Thomas, KY) laid down a squeeze bunt to drive in a run and Second Baseman Vin Barbato (SR, Utica, NY) hit a sac fly to push the lead to 5-2. Holy Cross got two more runs in the top of the 5th on an RBI single by Mike Pizzuto and a sac fly by Woodruff making the score 5-4.
Starting Pitcher Jackson Miles (SR, Indianapolis, IN) threw 4 1/3 to earn his third win of the year. The Bearcats bullpen came up big as Matt Gunderson (JR, Mount Vernon, WA) got the Bearcats out of a jam in the 5th, Caleb McIntire (SO, Owensboro, KY) got them out of a jam in the sixth and Michael McIntosh (JR, Evansville, IN) induced a game ending double play with the bases loaded for his fourth save of the year.

In the day's second game Holy Cross took on the University of Northwestern Ohio. UNOH used a three run second to propel themselves to a 4-2 win.
In the final game of the night the Bearcats took on UNOH. The Bearcats jumped on the board first when First Baseman Hank Stewart ripped a two run double. That's where the score would stay until the bottom of the fourth. Stewart started the inning with a leadoff double and scored on an RBI single by Pitcher Christian McHatton (JR, Henderson, KY). Pinch Runner Josh Wetzel (FR, Metropolis, IL) would cross the plate later in the inning on a wild pitch to push the lead to four. UNOH got their loan run of the night in the top of the sixth when Zyler Cosby and Jose Cruz hit back to back doubles.
Christian McHatton went the distance on the mound allowing one run on five hits with three strikeouts. The Bearcats improve their season record to 11-5 and are scheduled to play again on Tuesday vs. Martin Methodist.
