The score would stay 2-1 until the top of the seventh when the Bearcats plated two more runs. The first coming on a perfect suicide squeeze bunt by Second Baseman Eduardo Bermudez-Rosso (SO/Vieques, Puerto Rico) scoring Right Fielder Nick Woltermann (SO/Fort Thomas, KY) from third. The next batter Center Fielder Brady Reese (SO/Villa Hills, KY) delivered his first college homerun to make the score 4-1.
