The Brescia baseball team completed their KIAC schedule on Sunday at home against Alice Lloyd College.
In game 1, Alice Lloyd got on the board first with a three run second thanks in part to a Bearcat error. The Bearcats would answer back in the their half of the second with two runs on RBI singles by Right Fielder Nick Woltermann (SO/Fort Thomas, KY) and Left Fielder Daniel Lokesak (JR/Florence, KY). Alice Lloyd would add a run in the third on an RBI double by Tanner Hensley. The Bearcats would pull even in the bottom of the third however, thanks to RBI singles by Designated Hitter Aaron King (SO/Waverly, KY) and Woltermann. Alice Lloyd would finally create some distance in the fourth when five hits led to four runs pushing the lead to 8-4. Alice Lloyd added another run in the fifth and another in the sixth to push the lead to six. The Bearcats would get two more in the bottom of the sixth, but that was as close as they would get as Alice Lloyd pushed across three more in the seventh in route to the 12-6 win.

The Bearcats would add four more runs in the third as Catcher Aaron King and Right Fielder Nick Woltermann each drove in a run and Reese drove home two more. The Bearcats added a run in the fourth on an RBI double by Shortstop Nate Crocker (SR/Porterville, CA) and two more in the fifth on an RBI single by Second Baseman Eduardo Bermudez-Rosso (SO/Vieques, Puerto Rico) and a sac fly by First Baseman Hank Stewart (SR/Cartersville, GA).
Bearcat Starting Pitcher Christian McHatton (JR/Henderson, KY) worked five innings in route to his sixth win of the year. McHatton allowed one earned run on four hits while striking out three. Relief Pitchers Michael McIntosh (JR/Evansville, IN) and Caleb McIntire (SO/Owensboro, KY) each worked a perfect frame to close out the 10-1 win. The Bearcats improve to 32-18 on the year and finish KIAC play at 14-6. With the win on Sunday the Bearcats have clinched a first round bye in the conference tournament. The Bearcats currently sit in second place, two games behind Point Park University in the loss column. Point Park has two games left to make up against Berea College. If Berea wins both the Bearcats would win the regular season title since the own the tie breaker over Point Park.
The Bearcats will return to action on Tuesday at St. Catharine College with a doubleheader at 12:00 CT.
