The Bearcats were stunned on Thursday in the KIAC Tournament losing their first two games and making an early exit.
After securing a first round bye, the Bearcats faced IU-Southeast in their first game. IU-Southeast got on the board first on back to back singles by Jaret Young and Louis Helmburg in the fourth inning and added three more in the fifth on a three run homerun by Brian Crider to push their lead to five. The Bearcats plated their loan run of the game in the sixth on an RBI double by Catcher Hank Stewart (SR/Cartersville, GA). IU-Southeast would go on to score four more runs in the eight in route to the 9-1 win. The loss would set the Bearcats up to play Asbury University in an elimination game later that night.

In the second game of the day it was the Bearcats jumping on the board first on an RBI single by Designated Hitter Hank Stewart in the bottom of the first. Asbury would even the score in the second on an RBI groundout, but the Bearcats would answer in the second on a solo homerun by Shortstop Nate Crocker (SR/Porterville, CA). From the point on it was all Asbury, as they plated three runs in the third to take a 4-2 lead and used a 12 run fourth to put the Bearcats away. Crocker would drive in two more runs on the night and Right Fielder Nick Woltermann (SO/Fort Thomas, KY) would drive in two as the Bearcats pushed four runs across late, but Asbury added a run in the eighth and a run in the ninth for the 18-6 win ending the Bearcats season.
