The Brescia Men's Basketball team scored 84 points on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to offset the offensive onslaught of the Point Park Pioneers who scored 99 as they upset the Bearcats in the KIAC Tournament semifinals. The Pioneers had four players score 20+ points, including Alan Heter (24), Barry Smith (23), Yandell Denis (22), and Jerah'me Williams (21). Brescia placed five players in double-figures, led by DeCarlos Collier with 18 points. Jermain Langley scored 14 points and dished out 11 assists, while Austin Morris scored 12 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. Trey Howard contributed 12 points and Clay Stivers dropped in a career-best 10 points for the Bearcats. Brescia will now await the outcome of the IU-East/Point Park KIAC Championship game on Tuesday to find out if they will make it to the NAIA National Tournament. If the Red Wolves from IU-East win, the Bearcats would receive the 2nd automatic bid from the KIAC as South Division Champions.
