Summer Quesenberry serves her first year as Brescia University‘s Head Women's Basketball Coach for the 2012-2013 season.
She was most recently at NCAA Division III Mount Saint Joseph, in Cincinnati, Ohio, as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach and Head Women's Tennis Coach (2011-2012). Her responsibilities at MSJ included recruiting coordinator, player development, and community outreach. Prior to coaching at MSJ, Quesenberry spent two years as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia (2009-2010) and (2010-2011). While at CNU, Quesenberry helped the team to a combined record of 64-5, including NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen and Final Four Appearances. During her time at Christopher Newport, she served on a staff that hosted and won the USA South Conference in back to back seasons (2009-2010),and (2010-2011), coached three-time USA South Player of the Year (2010,2011) 4 time All American,(2010, 2011) and D3 Hoops Player of the Year (2011), recruited and coached three USA South All-Conference Players (2010) and (2011), and recruited the Freshman of the Year (2012).
Prior to coaching at Christopher Newport University, Quesenberry was the Interim Head Women's Basketball Coach at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY (2008-2009). In addition to being the team's head coach she also was the team's equipment manager and faculty/staff personal trainer. She also recruited/coached Vassar College's first Liberty League Conference Freshman of the Year (2009).
Quesenberry is a 2008 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where she graduated with a bachelor of liberal arts degree, and a major in physical education. She played four seasons for the Battling Bishops. She is also a recent graduate of the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy and current WBCA and Women's Sports Foundation member. Coach Quesenberry resides in Owensboro.
