Owensboro Sportscenter

The Owensboro Sportscenter, located at 1215 Hickman Avenue, is a multi-purpose 5,000 seat arena which recently went through a multi-million dollar renovation in 1997. The Sportscenter hosts concerts, sporting events, trade shows, conventions, meetings, and receptions. The Sportscenter is the home of the 8-time Division II national champion Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers basketball team. They are also the home of the ABA Kentucky Bisons. The actual floor size is 135 x 83. The height from floor to ceiling is 31 feet. The stage size (which is permanent) is 50 x 22, and can be expanded with portable staging. From Brescia

Head south from Brescia two lights to Parrish Ave. Take a right on Parrish Ave, go about one mile and the Sportscenter will be on your right, just after Moreland Park.

From US-60

When coming into town on US-60 come to Frederica St. Go south on Frederica to Parrish Ave. Take a right on Parrish Ave, and go about one mile and the Sportscenter will be on your right, just after Moreland Park

From the Natcher PKY

When coming into town on the Natcher PKY go west on the US-60 bypass. Exit on Frederica St. and take a right. You will go about 2.5 miles to Parrish Ave. Take a left on Parrish Ave, and go about one mile and the Sportscenter will be on your right, just after Moreland Park

Campus Center

The Brescia University Campus Center is located on Frederica Street between Seventh and Eighth Streets. The Campus Center is home to the Brescia University gymnasium where the men's and women's basketball teams and also to the volleyball team hold their home contests. The Campus Center also houses the weight-room, indoor track, and fitness facilities. The dining hall, student game lounge, study pavilion, offices, and boardrooms are also a part of this complex.

From US-60

When coming into town using US-60 east or west you will come to Frederica Street (US-431) and turn south. Once on Frederica Street you will go to Eighth Street and turn left, with an immediate left into the Campus Center parking lot.

From US-60 Bypass

When coming into town using the US-60 bypass you will exit at exit 6. From there, you will head north on Frederica Street until you get to Eighth Street. Take a right on Eighth Street and an immediate left into the Campus Center parking lot. 

Outdoor Sports Complex

Kamuf Park, the Brescia University Outdoor Sports Complex is located off of Todd Bridge Road and is home to four Brescia University athletic teams. This beautiful five acre complex boasts three brand new fields, a clubhouse with a press box, locker rooms, and concessions, and a picturesque lake. The men's and women's soccer teams take the field to battle opponents every fall on their soccer field. During the spring time the baseball team takes the diamond playing on Schadler Field and softball team takes the field as well.

From Brescia

Take Frederica Street south about 3.2 miles and turn right on Southtown Boulevard. Go about one mile and turn left on Todd Bridge Road. In .7 miles the sports complex will be on your right.

From the US-60 Bypass

At exit 6 you will exit and head south on Frederica Street until you get to Southtown Boulevard. At this point you will turn right and go about 1 mile to Todd Bridge Road. Turn left on Todd Bridge Road and travel about .7 miles until you see the complex on your right.

From US-431

When traveling to the Outdoor Sports Complex from the south on US-431you will turn left on State Route 554. You will travel about 1.2 miles and turn right onto Todd Bridge Road. Once on Todd Bridge Road you will go 2.3 miles until you see the complex on your left. 

Moreland Park

Moreland Park is a 17 acre community park located in central Owensboro, off of Parrish Avenue. The park is home to the Brescia University men's and women's tennis teams. This home court for the Bearcats has 12 lighted tennis courts

Direction to Moreland Park

From Brescia

Go south on Frederica Street until you reach Parrish Avenue. Turn right. From there you will travel about about 1 mile and the park will be on the right.

From US-60

When coming into town using US-60 east or west you will come to Frederica Street (US-431) and turn south. Once on Frederica Street you will go to Parrish Avenue and turn right. From there you will travel about about 1 mile and the park will be on the right.

From US-60 Bypass

When coming into town using the US-60 bypass you will exit at exit 6. Once on Frederica Street you will go to Parrish Avenue about 2 miles and turn left. From there you will travel about about 1 mile and the park will be on the right. 

Ben Hawes Golf Course

The 18-hole "Ben Hawes" course at the Ben Hawes State Park Golf Course facility in Owensboro, Kentucky features 6,632 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71 . The course rating is 71.0 and it has a slope rating of 118 on Bermuda grass. Ben Hawes golf course opened in 1964. Libby Hopgood manages the course as the General Manager.

From Brescia

Take Frederica Street north to Second Street and turn left. Go 2.2 miles on Second Street which become US-60. Continue on US-60 for 1.5 miles and turn right on Booth Field Road. Go one mile and arirve at 400 Booth Field Road.

DIRECTIONS TO YELLOW CREEK PARK

From the north into downtown Owensboro – after crossing the Cary Glover (US 231) Bridge into Owensboro - go straight (south) two blocks to Fourth Street.  Take a left (east.)  Fourth Street/ Hwy 60 E.  After a mile or two you will pass the Wendell Ford Bypass near McDonalds and continue straight for about 2 more miles before merging right onto KY-144 E.  Take 144 about 2 miles to Thruston, Ky.  The entrance to Yellow Creek Park will be on the right side of the road.

From the northeast – crossing into Kentucky over the William H Natcher Bridge on Highway 231 S near Rockport, Indiana – continue on following Hwy 60 W/231 S toward Owensboro.  About one quarter mile past the 17 mile marker there will be a stop light.  You will need to be in the left hand lane to turn onto KY 144 at the light.  Go east on 144 about 2 miles to Thruston, Ky.  The entrance to Yellow Creek Park will be on the right side of the road.

Fromthe east (Green River Parkway) – exit onto 60 East Bypass (Wendell Ford.)  Follow until the bypass ends (about 9 or 10 miles.) Turn right at the end of the bypass onto Hwy 60 E (there is a McDonald's at the intersection.)  Continue straight for about 2 more miles before merging right onto KY-144 E (right lane.)  Take 144 about 2 miles to Thruston, Ky.  The entrance to Yellow Creek Park will be on the right side of the road.

From the south (Natcher Parkway) – exit in the right lane onto the Wendell Ford bypass and continue about 2 miles until it ends.  Turn right at onto Hwy 60 E (there is a McDonald's at the intersection. Continue straight for about 2 more miles before merging right onto KY-144 E (right lane.) Take 144 about 2 miles to Thruston, Ky.  The entrance to Yellow Creek Park will be on the right side of the road.
