[Cross Country] John Eagan Beats All KIAC National Qualifiers

John Egan (So.) had a tremendous race at the NAIA National Championships in Vancouver, WA on Saturday. It was John's second consecutive trip to the championships, which is a feat in itself. On the cold, rainy day in sloppy course conditions he managed a time of 26:32 which was good for 139th place. Egan beat all other individual National Qualifiers from the KIAC Conference.

[Cross Country] Women's Cross Country in NAIA Top 30

The Bearcats women's cross country team finished 27th at the NAIA National Championships this Saturday in Vancouver, WA. This is an improvement from their 31st place finish at the Championships a year ago. It is also the highest finish of any KIAC Conference school since Brescia began their program a mere 5 years ago.

Jasmine Pulliam (Jr.) finished in 139th place with a time of 19:46; the fastest time ever run by a Brescia woman at the National meet. Next for the Bearcats was Olivia Warren (So.) with a time of 20:23, followed by Samantha Walker (So.) and Embra Hawkins (So.). Rounding out the scoring was Cassie King (So.) who, battling injury, finished with a time of 22:26.

The Bearcats finish a great season where they were awarded KIAC Champions, along with many individual awards. Now, with a top-30 team finish at the National Championships, they look to be Nationally ranked and among the best in NAIA for next year.

[Cross Country] Women's Cross Country Wins KIAC Championship

The women's cross country team won the KIAC Conference Championship for the second year in a row on Saturday. The first place finish gives them an automatic bid into the NAIA National Championships. The team edged Asbury by a mere 2 points.

Leading the ladies was Junior, Jasmine Pulliam who finished 4^th in the meet with a time of 20:11. In 6^th place was Olivia Warren (So.) who finished with a time of 20:16. Both Pulliam and Warren were given All-KIAC honors. Also, head coach, Alan Schulze was awarded KIAC Coach of the Year.

Finishing the scoring for the Bearcats were Samantha Walker (So.), Embra Hawkins (So.), and Cassie King (So.).

Next, the women will compete in Vancouver, WA where they will run National Cross Country Championships on Nov. 17^th.

[Cross Country] Men's Cross Country 3rd at KIAC Championships

On Saturday, in Richmond, IN, the Bearcats finished 3^rd place in the conference cross country championships. The team was led by John Egan, who placed 4^th overall and qualified for the NAIA National Championships and was awarded All-KIAC honors.

Austin Curtis (So.) was next for the Bearcats finishing 17^th. Rounding out the scoring were Drew Atkins (Fr.), Tyler Blair (So.), and Trey Drury (Fr.). The team was without Junior, Andrew Beams who was out due to illness but is typically the teams' second or third runner.

The team will finish the season in two weeks when they compete at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships in Vancouver, WA.

[Cross Country] "Egan wins St. Louis Fall Classic"

On Saturday at the St. Louis Fall Classic, hosted by St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Egan was the first place, team-finisher in the meet with a time of 25:53. The Bearcats placed 4th out of 10 teams. Followed by Egan were Andrew Beams, Austin Curtis, Tyler Blair, and Drew Atkins. This was a great day for the Bearcats as 8 of the 11 men either set a new personal record or season best.

[Cross Country] Bearcats Fifth at St. Louis Fall Classic

Junior, Jasmine Pulliam led the Bearcats with an 8th place finish in the meet with a new personal record of 19:43. This time give her the fastest time in the conference this year by :09 seconds. Next for the team was Sophomore, Olivia Warren and Samantha Walker who had a breakthrough race with a time of 20:17.

The women were led by junior, Jasmine Pulliam who set a new personal record of 19:58; her first time running under 20:00 in her career. Sophomore, Olivia Warren put in a tremendous performance placing 36^th in the field of 76 in a time of 20:19.

The Bearcats return to action this upcoming Saturday when they travel to St. Louis, MO to run the St. Louis Fall Classic hosted by St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

[Cross Country] Fast Cats Classic

The Brescia Bearcats men's cross country team placed 5^th in their home meet, the Fast Cats Classic, on Saturday. The team was led by sophomore, John Egan with a top-10 finish overall with a time of 26:11 for the 8-kilometer race. Austin Curtis, Tyler Blair, Andrew Beams, and Drew Atkins rounded out the scoring for the Bearcats. Also, notably for the men were Dillon Yearby who set a new personal record of 29:36 and former Bearcat standout and volunteer coach, Matt Lowe who finished 9^th.

The Bearcats return to action this upcoming Saturday when they travel to St. Louis, MO to run the St. Louis Fall Classic hosted by St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
