Lindsey Townsel, MPA, ATC
Lindsey Townsel joined Kentucky Orthopedic Rehab Team in the fall of 2014 she is a licensed athletic training in the Owensboro clinic and functions as the head athletic trainer for Brescia University. Lindsey comes to Brescia University from Muskegon, Michigan where she worked as a licensed athletic trainer for Mercy Health. This position afforded her the opportunity to serve as the head athletic trainer for Muskegon Community College. Her responsibilities not only included athletic training services at the college, but she also did community outreach to local high schools in the area; primarily spending time at Muskegon Heights Public Schools Academy. During the winter semester of 2011 Lindsey began teaching as an adjunct professor for the physical education department at Muskegon Community College.
Lindsey is a 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where she was the first graduate assistant athletic trainer to serve in the two-year position. While at USI she received a Masters degree in Public Administration.
Lindsey attended Eastern Michigan University where she was a recipient of the Wade McCree Scholarship, Delbert Pearson Athletic Scholarship, Chole Todd Scholarship, & the Wilber Bowen Scholarship. She graduated from EMU in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. Moreover, she completed her internship in 2008 at Hackley Sports Medicine where she was assigned to the winter season sports at Muskegon High School. Lindsey is a native of Muskegon, Michigan and a 2003 graduate of Muskegon High School.
Lindsey is a member of the NATA, CPR/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens certified instructor, a Board of Certification certified athletic trainer, and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Kentucky. Lindsey comes from a large family, is the daughter of Carole Townsel, and has one sister. Lindsey’s hobbies include spending time with her family & friends, traveling, sports, movies/plays, museums, zoos, and doing her best to enjoy life to the fullest.
