Men's Basketball Dominates Crimson Pride on the Road

This game started hot out of the gate as both teams traded buckets in the opening half. Jaunte Jenkins made his presence known, putting up nine points in the first seven minutes. The Bearcats continued to put pressure on the Crimson Pride, taking a seven-point lead with 10 minutes to go. Back-to-back threes from senior, Linkin Lockhart, forced a IUC timeout as BU maintained the 15-point lead. Kabryen Tinson capped off an explosive first half with a fast break layup as the Bearcats went into the intermission with a 17-point advantage.
Jenkins continued to dominate in the paint making three consecutive baskets in under a minute to extend the lead. He added 15 points to his total in the second half as the Bearcats take the 30-point victory on the road.
Jenkins led all scorers with 27 points on 60% shooting with 10 boards and three steals. Linkin Lockhart followed with 16 points and four threes while Tinson added nine off the bench without missing a shot. The Bearcats dominated in the paint and defensively as 62 of their 98 points came in the restricted area while forcing 23 turnovers.
The Bearcats will host Midway this coming Saturday, Jan. 10 at 2pm in The Den.
