Men's Golf Fall Season Preview

The Brescia men's golf team tees off its season at the 2nd Annual NAIA Memphis Shootout on September 9 and 10.

The Bearcats, coming off consecutive seasons that saw the team win the River States Conference (RSC) championship, are ranked first in the RSC Preseason Poll.

"I'm not worried about preseason rankings to be honest. It's an honor, yes, but I'm way more interested in getting them prepared to play for a Conference Championship next spring," said Head Coach Jason Cox.

"It will be interesting to see how they respond to having the bullseye on their chest. [It's] Time for our upperclassmen to step up and play big-boy golf. If we are going to be successful, they will have to go out there and play like they can," added Cox.

Important dates to know:

• The Bearcats starts its season on September 9 and 10, competing in the Second Annual NAIA Memphis Shootout in Memphis, Tennessee.
• Brescia competes in the RSC Preview Tournament at Belterra Golf Course in Florence, Indiana.
• The Bearcats compete against in-city rival Kentucky Wesleyan College at home on October 17 at The Pearl Club at the Summit at 12:00 p.m.
• The team concludes its Fall season on October 25 at the Huntington University Men/Women's Invitational at Sultans Run Golf Club in Jasper, Indiana.
