Men's Golf Places 6th At Lawrence Tech Invite
The Brescia University Men's Golf Team competed in the Lawrence Tech Spring Invitational at Heritage Hill in Shepherdsville, Ky over the weekend placing 6th of 13 teams in the event.
The BU Men finished 6th in the 13 team field. The Bearcats were lead by senior Ryan Howard with scores of 79/79 to finish 18th overall in the 67 player field. Despite being 9 shots off the lead after day one the Men's squad went backwards as a team scoring nine shots worse on day two with slightly better weather conditions with a rough 329 score. Weston Wood was tied for the lead after day one with an impressive 75 in 30 plus mph winds but tumbled downward on the leaderboard, falling 27 places to a T28 finish with an 88 on day two. Matthew Godsey fires scores of 81/83 to finish just behind Wood in 30th place. Freshman Aaron Munger stumbled a bit after last weeks second place finish with scores of 87/82 for a 39th place finish. Nolan Nofsinger in his debut played a bit better than the score indicated with scores of 85/85 for a 42nd place finish.
It's a quick turnaround for the Bearcats as they'll travel to Memphis later this week to Rhodes College. You can follow the action for both teams by logging onto golfstat.com.
