COLUMBUS, IN – The Brescia University men's soccer team fell on the road to conference opponent, IUPUC, 2-1. The boys extend their record to 1-10 overall and 2-7 in RSC play.
Both teams seemed evenly matched in the first half as the offenses would go shot for shot. The first goal of the match would hit home until the 43rd minute by IUPUC to take a 1-0 advantage. The Crimson Pride would net their second goal of the match in the 51st minute to take a two-goal lead. The Bearcats had their work cut out for them in the second half as they tried to shrink the deficit. Adam Byzdra would net his third goal of the year in the 75th minute to cut the IUPUC lead in half. Unfortunately, the Bearcats could not equalize in the final minutes as they dropped the contest, 2-1.
Chase Garrett gets his fifth loss in the net for the Bearcats as he records 10 saves on 12 shots.
The Bearcats take the field this Saturday for another conference matchup against the Red Storm of Rio Grande with a kickoff time of 2:30pm CT.
