Men's Tennis Fall Against Asbury
Brescia University men's and women's tennis teams fell to Riverstate Conference foe Asbury (men; 7-0 and women; 6-1) on Saturday afternoon at Top Seed Tennis facility in Nicholasville, KY. The men slide to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while the women slip to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in conference action. Asbury men move to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the Riverstate conference action, while Asbury women improve to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
"Both teams fought hard, but on the guys side we lost all singles matches," said Head Coach Will Riley.
"The girls fought hard getting a huge win at number one singles as Hannah Joy Simms won 7-5,6-2, but it just was not enough to get us the win today," said Riley. "Hopefully we will learn from today and it will get us ready for Campbellsville on Wednesday, March 17th and Midway on Friday and IU Kokomo and IU Southeast on Saturday".
