Track and Field Sets Multiple PBs at Rose Hulman Invitational
TERRE HAUTE, In. – The Brescia University track and field teams traveled north to Terre Haute, IN to compete in the Rose Hulman Early Bird Invitational this past weekend. The Bearcats set multiple personal best and had a hand in topping the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference records.

In the inaugural season under head coach, Kyle Embry, the young Bearcat squad has brought excitement and competitiveness to the program. BU excelled in achieving personal bests over the weekend in just the second outdoor event of the season.
Men's Results:
- Seth Karnes – 9th in Javelin Throw 40.43m, 25th Discus 29.81m, 27th Shot Put 9.00m, 30th 100m 12.26
- Braiden Davis – 9th in Long Jump 5.76m
- Xavi Del Monte – the men's soccer player finished 17th in the 400m with a personal best of 56.50
- Daniel Aikas – 7th in 1500m 4:13.94
- Blake Mullins – 21st in 1500 4:28.30
- Dionte Sweeney – the men's basketball player finished 20th in the Long Jump at a height of 5.06m
- Treyvon Osborne – the men's soccer player finished 21st in the Long Jump at 4.86m
- Carrieun Mathis – the men's basketball player finished 22nd in the Long Jump at 4.76m
Women's Results:
- Michae Harriott – 14th in 100m at 13.53
- Alliyah Thomas – finished 4th in both 100m Hurdles (16.33) and Long Jump (5.01m), setting a HCAC record
- Abigail Walker – 11th in 100m Hurdles 19.22, 20th in 200m 30.84, both personal bests
- Faith Mpassy – 4th in 400m 1:03.42 setting HCAC record and personal best, 10th in Long Jump 4.54m
- Summer Brown – 5th in 800m 2:51.60
- Lexus McMurray – 8th in 800m setting personal best of 3:18.18
- Mallory Wilson – 3rd in 1500m setting personal best of 5:17.31
- Hannah Grosshans – 6th in Hammer Throw at 32.70m, 9th in Shot Put at 9.16m setting a personal best, 10th in Javelin at 19.44m
- Kaitlyn Orange – 5th in Javelin at 27.85m, 7th in Pole Vault setting an HCAC record of 2.70m
Up next, the Bearcats will head to Columbia, KY to compete in the Blue Raider Rumble hosted by Lindsey Wilson.
