Bearcats have Good Showing at Transylvania Invite
Brescia Men's Track and Field traveled to Lexington, Ky to compete in the Transylvania Invitational. The Bearcats competed well in the events that they covered, finishing 9th out of the 11 team field. Tyrell Jacobs came away with the top finish for the Bearcats with a season best jump of 5.38m, which landed him in 2nd place in the long jump. Jacobs also ran the 100, 200, and was 2nd leg of the 4x100. Landon Holt finish 5th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.81, which is a season best for him. Holt also took part in the 4x100 as the anchor leg. Kyle Robinson finish 6th in the 5000-meter race with a time of 16:42.31, just missing his personal best. The 4x100 meter team of Jaleel Parris, Tyrell Jacobs, Brandon Stacker, and Landon Holt came away with a 5th place finish narrowly edging out Wilminton College of Ohio, in a time of 45.05.
"I was very happy with how the men competed today. We only had seven men compete, and out of the seven, five were point scorers in a very competitive track meet. I couldn't ask for much more out of them at our first outdoor meet", said Coach Stoffel
The team travels to Hanover College on April 1st for their next meet. Meet is schedule to begin at 10:00am.
