Brescia Men's Volleyball Announces 2024 Schedule
OWENSBORO, KY – The newly added Brescia University men’s volleyball team has released their full official schedule for the 2024 season. The Bearcats will compete in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) with the likes of Campbellsville (KY), Georgetown, and other schools within a two-hour radius.
To kick off the 2024 schedule, the Bearcats head to Hammond, IN to compete in the Calumet College of St. Joseph's Tri-Match Scrimmage. BU will take on Calumet and Cornerstone on Saturday, Jan. 20th. The following weekend, the Bearcats will travel to Park University in St. Louis, MO for a two-day tournament. BU will go head-to-head with Viterbo and Morningside on Friday, Jan. 26th along with Park and Ottawa on Saturday, Jan. 27th before returning home.
Coach Forbes and the Bearcats will host their first ever men's volleyball tournament the weekend of Feb. 2-3 as they host, Warner (FL), St. Mary of the Woods, and Reinhardt (GA). BU will get about a week break before they travel to Life University in Marietta, GA for the Life University Tri-Match. The games against Life and St. Andrews (NC) on Feb. 11th will get the Bearcats geared for their first conference matchup.
Bearcat Athletics is no stranger to the Red Storm of Rio Grande as these two men's volleyball teams will meet for the first time on Thursday, Feb. 15th on our home court as they host a tri-match including Missouri Baptist. The Bearcats will travel to Terre Haute, IN for their last tournament of the year as they compete with tri-match host, St. Mary of the Woods and Goshen (IN) on Saturday, Feb. 17th.
The Bearcats will jump right into MSC play with their first two games coming against Campbellsville and Oakland City the week of Feb. 20th. BU will continue conference play through March and April as they stive to earn their first Mid-South Conference appearance.
