Men's Cross Country Competes at Mid-South Conference Preview
The men's cross country team began their season running at the Arthur Sciubba Invite, on Friday September 8th. The team was led by Junior, Kyle Robinson finishing the 5k with a personal best of 17:02.2. He was followed by Freshman Devin Roche who crossed with a personal best of 18:32.7. Senior Chase McCauley showing signs of improvement after being out for the majority of the indoor and outdoor track season with a nagging injury, ran 19:08.8 and Freshman De'Ontae Washington finished in 20:11.2.
When Coach Stoffel was asked how he felt about the performance of the team he said "I was very pleased with the performances by Kyle and Devin and it is great to have Chase back running again this season. I am excited to see how much time the team can drop by conference."
Top three finishing teams were as followed: Shawnee State with 19 points, Campbellsville with a score of 47, and Kentucky Wesleyan.
The men will compete next on the 15th of September at the National Catholic Invitational at the University of Notre Dame. The start of the men's race is scheduled for 4:00pm CST.
