Lady Bearcats drop 2 against Oakland City

The Lady Bearcats hosted Oakland City University on Thursday, April 5th. In the first game they produced only one run on 7 hits. Brooke Whipple went 2 for 3 as well as Justice Taylor went 2 for 3. Alison Russell started on the mound giving up 6 hits and 4 walks before giving way to Shelby Franklin who gave up 6 hits and walked no one. The Lady cats lost 2-6.

The second game of the night the Lady Cats could only produce 1 run to lose again to Oakland City 1-2. Cassie Moss had a big game going 3 for 3 with a double. Shelby Franklin took the mound again. She only gave up 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. Courtney Payne came in to relieve Franklin in the 6th inning. Payne gave up 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2.

The Lady Bearcats play host to St. Mary's of the Woods on Tuesday, April 10th for a 4:30 pm start time.
