Women's Soccer Defeated in Close Match-up with UPike
Owensboro, Ky. – On Thursday night, the Brescia University women's soccer team was ousted by University of Pikeville, 4-3, dropping their season record to 0-2.
In the second match of the season, the Bearcats would jump out to an early 2-0 lead, with Duda Feres assisting on both goals. The offense for the Bearcats would come to a halt as University of Pikeville would respond with four unanswered goals to take the lead. Brescia would add a late goal in the 85th minute of the match but that would not be enough as University of Pikeville would take the match 4-3.
Ashby Greenwell recorded her second loss of the season with 5 saves on 9 shots in 90 minutes.
The Bearcats will take on Bethel University at Kamuf Park on Thursday, September 1st with a kickoff time of 5:00pm CT.
