Lady Bearcats Tie Kokomo to Retain #8 Seed
KOKOMO, IN – The Brescia University women’s soccer team tied with conference foe, IU-Kokomo this past Saturday, 2-2. The Bearcats extend their overall record to 3-9-1 overall and 2-5-1 in RSC play.

KOKOMO, IN – The Brescia University women's soccer team tied with conference foe, IU-Kokomo this past Saturday, 2-2. The Bearcats extend their overall record to 3-9-1 overall and 2-5-1 in RSC play.
The Bearcats tied the 6-0-2 Cougars of Kokomo with two late goals in the second half. Seven minutes into the match, Kokomo would take the lead with an early goal. BU would keep the Cougars scoreless the rest of the half as they struggled to equalize. Victoria Poon would get the Bearcats on the board with a goal right out of the half off the foot of Payton Willis to knot the score at one apiece. The Cougars did not falter as they scored their second goal of the match to maintain a one-goal lead.
A foul in the box by the Cougars would result in a Bearcat penalty kick. Duda Feres would bury her third PK of the season to tie the score for the second time in the match. Both teams had a few more shots after their final goals but could not net a winning goal. The Bearcats record their first tie of the season to keep them in the eighth spot for the conference tournament.
The Lady Bearcats have two games remaining in the regular season with their last home game being Thursday, October 26th against St. Mary of the Woods at 7:30 pm CT.
