Women's Soccer Falls to Cross-Town Rival KWC
OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Brescia University women’s soccer team faced cross-town rival, Kentucky Wesleyan, Thursday night. The Panthers came up with the 3-0 win in BU’s home opener.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Brescia University women's soccer team faced cross-town rival, Kentucky Wesleyan, Thursday night. The Panthers came up with the 3-0 win in BU's home opener.
Although the Bearcat defensive line held steady for majority of the first half, the Panthers struck first in the 39th minute on a ball played through the middle of the box. BU struggled to maintain possession in the first period as they could not get a shot on frame passed the Panther's defense. After the break, KWC put up two quick goals in the 47th and 48th minutes, taking a three-goal lead. The Bearcats shot the ball just eight times with all attempts coming in the second half.
The Bearcats will travel to Henderson, TN this Saturday, Aug. 30, to take on Freed-Hardeman at 2pm CT.
