Women's Soccer Continues to Roll Through Conference Play
OWENSBORO, Ky. The Brescia University women’s soccer team continued to dominate on the field as they earned their first win in program history against Rio Grande. The 4-1 win improved the Bearcat’s record to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

OWENSBORO, Ky. The Brescia University women's soccer team continued to dominate on the field as they earned their first win in program history against Rio Grande. The 4-1 win improved the Bearcat's record to 8-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
In their best start of the season ever, the Bearcats looked to continue their hot streak into their third conference game. The first goal of the match was buried in the 22nd minute as Evangalene Farfan found the back of the net. Her sixth goal of the season came off the pass in the box from Kaja Zupanic as BU took to 1-0 lead. Allana Colen Porto added to the lead with a shot off a deflection in the 46th minute. Lillian Garcia and Ana Victorica added the final two goals for the Bearcats in the 68th and 72nd minutes.
The Bearcats will take on WVU Tech on Thursday, Oct. 9, at home at 4pm.
