Bio
Coach Andy Hines took over as the head coach of the Brescia University women's soccer team for the 2024–2025 season, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his coaching career. Originally from Frankfort, Indiana, Coach Hines had an impressive first season with the Bearcats, leading them to their third-best season ever.
Before joining Brescia, Coach Hines was the head coach for the girls’ soccer team at Owensboro Catholic High School, where he achieved significant success, including multiple district and regional titles, an All-A State Runner-Up finish, and two appearances in the Kentucky High School State Elite Eight during his four years there.
In addition to his high school coaching experience, Coach Hines has coached at various levels, including youth soccer in Kentucky and Indiana, where he won state championships. He also coached semi-pro indoor soccer for the Evansville Crush, guiding them to the National Tournament and helping the team qualify for the US Open Cup. Throughout his career, he’s developed numerous players who advanced to play at the NCAA DI, DIII, and NAIA levels.
Coach Hines himself played college soccer at Oakland City University, where he started every game during his freshman year. After graduation, he spent two years as an assistant coach for the men’s team at Oakland City.
Off the field, Coach Hines has earned recognition for his coaching accomplishments, including nominations for the Mike Barticelli Boys Travel Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2019. He holds a USSF C license along with other coaching certifications.
Academically, Coach Hines holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Oakland City University (2007), a Master of Arts in Teaching from Oakland City (2017), and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Learning and Behavior Disorders from Georgetown College (2021).
